Event Details
Celebrate National Library Week, observed April 6-12, by making your own Paper Reading Book Character. A funny paper character will be created as if he is reading a book. Paste a popular book cover on the book that he is reading. This activity is ideal for children ages 4 to 8 and will be available at all branches all week long, while supplies last.
Reading to children is an important way to help them build language skills. It exposes them to new words and ways of using language. It also helps them learn general information about the world, which makes it easier for them to learn.
