Southeast Louisiana Legal Services will be on-site at the Reserve Branch to provide free, general legal information to patrons.

Southeast Louisiana Legal Services provides free, civil legal aid to low-income individuals throughout the region, focusing on the following:

  • Survivors of sexual and domestic violence, veterans, and unhoused individuals
  • Wills and successions
  • Divorce and custody matters
  • Evictions and renter disputes
  • Government benefits for income, food, and health insurance
  • Protection for homeowners
  • IRS tax issues
  • Disaster survivors
  • Unemployment benefits and wage claims
  • Consumer protection, collection defense, and bankruptcy

This legal clinic will not cover criminal or personal injury matters.
