Event Details
Children will receive a handout that shows how to practice mindfulness through outdoor activities such as bird watching, walking barefoot, taking a walk, or looking at the clouds. They will be encouraged to go outside, weather permitting, to try some of these exercises. Children will return inside to create Mindfulness Mandala Art by tracing their hands on paper, and filling it in with intricate designs and colors that represent their emotions at the time of the activity.
The Mindfulness Mandala Hand Art Activity is a calming, creative exercise where children trace their hands and fill them with intricate, repeating patterns to promote focus, stress relief, and emotional expression. This art therapy technique helps kids visualize feelings, practice patience.
