Our Paper Bag Community

Kids will have fun creating Paper Bag Buildings to build communities involving crafting, decorating, and assembling paper lunch bags and construction paper to create miniature houses, schools, or fire stations. Children can draw windows, doors, and roofs which are then arranged into a community. They can also name their own building! 

Kids will Feed the Monster Buildings by transforming the larger paper bag buildings into "Monster Bakeries" with a wide-cut mouth, and have kids toss crumpled paper balls to "feed" the shop. They will also create community helper, character puppets, using templates, that "live" in the buildings. The puppets can perform a "Neighborhood News" show or act out a day in the life of the village. The children's creation will be displayed as a community for all to see and enjoy.
