Planes & Trains: St. John Parish History in Motion

All aboard for a journey through time in St. John the Baptist Parish! A representative from the Louisiana Steam Train Association will provide an update on the Southern Pacific 745, a classic locomotive that has been placed on the U.S. Register of Historic Places and will soon find a permanent home in Garyville. 

Flying into the present, meet with Airport Supervisor Charles Palmer to learn about the Port of South Louisiana Executive Regional Airport. Nestled along Airline Highway in Reserve, our local airport is the gateway to one of the largest tonnage ports in the Western Hemisphere.
