Join us during the week of March 3-6 as we celebrate Read Across America by integrating literacy and STEM challenges using Dr. Seuss's books.
Children will participate in a red plastic, cup-stacking and paper challenge to make the perfect red and white cat hat. Kids will see how many pom poms their Truffala Tree can hold using tongue depressors.
The National Education Association launched Read Across America in 1998 as a year-round program to celebrate reading.
March 2 is the birthday of Dr. Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, who has authored some of the most popular children's books of all time, selling over 600 million copies.
