Event Details

On the first Saturday in February, libraries across the country celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day to raise awareness for libraries as a space for kids to play, make friends, and discover a lifelong passion for learning.

Stop by any of our branches on February 3rd to enjoy activity tables designed for children ages 11 and under and their families. Activities include:

- Color your own bookmark

- Play with LEGOs

- Decorate Mardi Gras masks

- Build a structure with straws and connectors

- Library scavenger hunt

Two special guests will appear at the LaPlace Library:

- Save the day with the Red Power Ranger at 11 AM.

- Local author January Scott will visit at 1 PM to discuss her four faith-filled children's books, including, "Will There Ever Be a Mrs. Edna Again?"
