This is a hands-on, three-week cooking series designed for teens to build essential kitchen skills that promote independence, confidence, and safety in the kitchen. Each session introduces new techniques and builds upon the previous week’s learning, culminating in a flavorful experience that empowers youth to cook with creativity and care.
Please note, when you register for one class, you are registering for all three sessions held November 4th, 13th, and 20th, as lessons from each session build upon each other.
November 20 / Session 3: Flavor Foundations – Sautéing, Seasoning & Celebration
• Introduction to herbs, spices, and flavor balancing
• Sautéing vegetables and proteins
• Creating simple sauces or stir-fry dishes
• Group reflection and certificate ceremony
• Final journal entry
