Program Description

Event Details

During the third week of September, stop by the MakerSpace at the new Leroy D. Williams Memorial Library in Reserve to learn how to program Ozobots!

Ozobots are small, programmable robots that teach kids coding and other STEAM-based skills. Using sensors and cameras, these robots can track and respond to colors. Experiment with the bots by guiding them along paths using markers or stickers. Incorporate coding to make Ozobots move in different directions, slow down, speed up, and stop.

We will discuss the dos and don'ts of all three equipment and how to successfully operate them individually and together. Topics include color codes and which markers can and cannot be used to perform an action. Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a 'badge of completion' allowing them to use the Ozobots in the MakerSpace.
