Program Description

Event Details

During the first week of December, stop by the Reserve Branch MakerSpace to learn how to operate the Janome sewing machines! We will discuss the dos and don'ts of the equipment and how to successfully operate both the mechanical Sewist 721 and computerized Skyline S5. Topics include threading, using the bobbin, and producing basic stitching patterns, and transitioning between programmed patterns. Patrons may choose to bring their own sewing machines to the workshop.

Participants will earn a badge of completion to use the sewing machines in the MakerSpace for personal projects.

Workshops won't be held on Wednesday, December 4, as all library branches will be closed for staff training.
